This is my first blog on our new look Genealogy site.
The site still uses the original family tree Database, so information in the websites should be identical and current.
The problem with our original site at http:/www.upavadi.net is that it’s more like a reference book and there is NO interaction between users.
Here, I have added a members’ forum, Inter-member connectivity and an ability to upload photos.
So this is no-where approaching Facebook but it is an attempt to have a mini social network, to discuss and share family matters only.
Site is still under construction. I have now exhausted my limited expertise in developing this with the help of Bahul Upadhyaya.
Use the REQUEST topic in the forum to let me know if there is anything else I can add. It is possible that I may be able to produce something.
Software Changes:
My thanks to Bahul Upadhyaya for helping me to revamp this Genealogy site in to blog / Social Network site and
a software change which allowed me to update GOTRA details for the descendents of
Popatbhai Upadhyaya,
Bhawanishanker Joshi and
Dahyabhai Ranchhodji Desai.
If you click on any of the above names, you would go to Descendents > Text page.
The descendancy chart is displayed in text form.
The chart includes (Gotra) and Living (if recorded as such).
I would be grateful if you could check your ancestral chart in such a way and let me know of errors, if any.
